The tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga Valley National Park at 60 feet, viewed from a boardwalk a short walk from the parking lot.
Brandywine Falls drops about 60 feet over a ledge of shale and sandstone, the tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A boardwalk brings visitors to an overlook of the falls just steps from the parking area at 8176 Brandywine Road, making it one of the most accessible named waterfalls in the National Park System; stairs continue down into the gorge for a closer view.
For more of a walk, the 1.5-mile Brandywine Gorge Loop continues past the falls along the gorge rim and creek bottom. The small parking lot fills by mid-morning on warm-weather weekends, and the Park Service asks visitors not to park along the roadway. The boardwalk can close during icy winter conditions, so check the park's current alerts before visiting in cold weather.
