Mary Jane Falls

Clark · West & Southwest

A seasonal, snowmelt-fed waterfall on Mount Charleston near Las Vegas; the trail has been closed since 2023 storm damage.

Mary Jane Falls is a seasonal waterfall fed mainly by snowmelt in Kyle Canyon on Mount Charleston, in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area about 20 miles from Las Vegas. In a normal year the out-and-back trail runs roughly 3 miles round trip with significant elevation gain through aspen forest and switchbacks to the base of the falls.

As of this writing the Mary Jane Falls Trailhead and trail are closed. The U.S. Forest Service's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest closed the site for significant damage from Tropical Storm Hilary in 2023, and no reopening date has been posted on the official recreation page. Do not plan a trip here without checking current status directly with the Spring Mountains NRA first.
