Explore the American side of an international waterfall landmark through Niagara Falls State Park.

Niagara Falls is a collection of waterfalls rather than one single drop. From the New York state park, visitors can experience the American, Bridal Veil and Horseshoe Falls through a network of public walking areas and optional attractions. Goat Island is a useful part of a visit, connecting waterfall viewpoints with the broader river setting.

Plan the park walk and any ticketed attractions separately. Walking into the state park is free, while vehicle parking and experiences such as Cave of the Winds carry their own charges. Attraction schedules change with the season even though the park itself is a year-round destination. Use the official map to choose a parking entrance and an efficient route, then check current operating notices. Keep to designated walkways and barriers around this powerful river; photographs never convey the full force of the current.
